Meghan's go-to coat designer on her maternity style and why the royal will be a natural mom

The Duchess of Sussex brought her bright side to Birkenhead on Monday (Jan. 14) while visiting local organizations with her husband, Prince Harry. The 37-year-old debuted a brand-new ensemble that featured two Canadian designs - Babaton by Aritzia's bump-hugging 'Maxwell' dress in a regal purple hue topped off with a luxe red wrap coat by her go-to outerwear label, SENTALER. If the topper looked familiar, that's because Meghan has worn it before, opting to attend her first Christmas Day church service in Sandringham in the camel version.

What fans may not know about the cruelty-free and hypoallergenic coat is that the duchess is the first person to ever wear it in that shade of red! And Bojana Sentaler, the brand's Toronto-based founder, couldn't have asked for a better walking advertisement. "The bright colour looks incredible on her! She is glowing!" gushed the mother of two, adding that the shade is new for fall 2019. "I think this red is a fresh and bold new colour for SENTALER and to have the Duchess debut it for the first time to the public is just a dream!"

Harry's leading lady also showed just how versatile the luxe baby alpaca coats can be. In addition to naturally draping and hugging a woman's figure "in all the right ways," according to the designer, Meghan tied the Long Wide Collar Wrap Coat above her blossoming bump - a move Bojana knows all too well. "I wore my SENTALER wrap coats throughout both pregnancies as I could wrap or unwrap as much or as little as needed to accommodate the growing baby bump."

This is part of the magic of the former actress's pregnancy wardrobe. "She is not wearing traditional maternity pieces but yet her maternity style is so effortlessly chic," the designer shared of Meghan's elegant attire. "She is a true fashion icon and I think women around the world are watching not only her philanthropic and humanitarian efforts, but also the fashion choices she continues to make are an inspiration."

Beyond her style and charity work, Bojana is rooting for the former Torontonian as she prepares to tackle her greatest role to date: mom! "I am sure that motherhood will come very naturally for Meghan," she said. "She is so humble and kind and she truly cares about the world and humanity. She will be a wonderful mom. I cannot wait to see her family grow!"

The new long wide collar wrap coat in red is available to pre-order for $1,695 and will ship in late February.
