Meghan stuns in $40 mini dress to visit her new animal patronage Mayhew

By Jessica Pollack

After announcing her first four patronages last Thursday, Meghan is wasting no time getting to know the organizations and their benefactors – and on today's visit to Mayhew, the animal lover definitely wore her heart on her H&M sleeve! Looking perfectly chic in monochrome cream, the pregnant royal showed off her connection to her canine companions as she mingled with dogs and cats and learned about the charity's work.

The Duchess of Sussex perfectly mixed high- and low-end pieces to create the ultimate maternity look. Covering her baby bump in H&M's bump-hugging Mama Fine-Knit Dress, she accessorized with a pair of sling-back Manolo Blahnik 'Allura 105' pumps, an Emporio Armani cream cashmere coat and her Stella McCartney Falabella Reversible tote, which is made from vegan leather.

Since 1886, animal welfare charity Mayhew has worked to improve the lives of cats, dogs and local communities through educational initiatives and programs, including offering short-term care for pets of those in crisis and helping to keep homeless people and their dogs together. The royal spent time chatting with volunteers and staff and cuddled some of the sweet beneficiaries.

This organization is very much in line with the 37-year-old's personal beliefs. Meghan currently has two adopted dogs in London, beagle Guy who she brought from Toronto and her new labrador with Prince Harry, as well as labrador-shepherd mix Bogart who stayed behind in Canada (and Ellen DeGeneres convinced her to adopt!).

The brunette beauty made her first patronage visit on Jan. 10, dropping by Smart Works to play stylist for the day helping disadvantaged women get ready for job interviews. Fans went wild at getting their first 2019 glimpse of the mom-to-be's growing baby bump in a fitted Hatch maternity dress, which she paired with a camel Oscar de la Renta swing coat and chic cow-print Gianvito Rossi pumps with clear plastic sides.

This evening, the former actress will join hubby Prince Harry for a glitzy date night at Royal Albert Hall, where a special performance of Cirque du Soleil's Totem will raise funds for his charity Sentebale, which he started with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006 to help kids and young people cope with HIV.

The couple is sure to be dressed to the nines, just like they were on Monday (Jan. 14) when they spent the day in Birkenhead - she in a Canadian ensemble that paired a bright red SENTALER coat with a purple Babaton by Aritzia dress, he in a sleek grey coat with black pants and a dark sweater.
