The Duchess of Cambridge has a new stylist (and a new look!)

If you’ve been paying attention to Kate’s latest looks and have found yourself pondering that “there’s something different about her,” you’d be right. It turns out the Duchess of Cambridge (née Kate Middleton) has a new stylist who has been tasked with upping the “it factor” of her wardrobe.

The gal in charge of getting Catherine gussied up going forward is Natasha Archer, Kate’s former personal assistant.

Known as “Tash” by staff at Buckingham Palace, the 27-year-old is said to have gotten the job because she is able to relate to Kate’s desire to dress and look her age - and hold tight to her style-icon status.

“Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it. Tash helps source some of the clothes. She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on,” an insider told Vanity Fair. “She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate’s really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes.rdquo;

It’s unclear when Prince George’s mom started working with Natasha, but it would appear it’s been since she took some time off to deal with her hyperemesis gravidarum. Kate is now 14 weeks pregnant with her second child.

Two of the looks she’s worn since returning to the spotlight have been a little more “wow-worthy” than those she’s donned in the past.

Kate rocked an edgy black, cutout Temperley London dress at the Action on Addiction Autumn Gala in London in late October (the dress sold out within minutes of Kate’s appearance on the red carpet).

Then, at the Wildlife Photography Awards, she donned a blue Jenny Packham gown with a high slit and a mini-skirt underlay that accentuated her athletic figure and enviably long legs.

With this new sartorial direction in place, we can’t wait to see what the expectant royal will wear next!
