The TIFF Daily: What’s on September 14, 2014

Here’s what should be on your radar on the last day (Sept. 14) of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). It’s hard to believe it's over already!

Special Presentation: Festival People’s Choice Award, 6 p.m., Roy Thomson Hall

If you liked a film, this is the time to let TIFF know: vote for the Grolsch People's Choice Award! The winning film re-screens for free at 6pm (tonight!) at the Ryerson Theatre.

Special Presentation: Winter Sleep, 9 p.m., TIFF Bell Lightbox

The winner of the Palme d’Or from this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Nuri Bilge Ceylan chronicles the life of a small-town innkeeper who is rife with pretensions. Over the course of a busy winter, her self-importance is undermined.

Special Presentation: Eden, 9:30 p.m., TIFF Bell Lightbox

Indie darling Greta Gerwig stars in this French film from Mia Hansen-Løve, an exploratory probe into the rise of French electro in the 1990s.
