​Jake Gyllenhaal lands in Toronto and Naomi Watts lands a role as his co-star


Jake Gyllenhaal has landed in Toronto for TIFF 2014.

The 33-year-old Nightcrawler star arrived at Pearson International Airport yesterday (Sept. 4) with a very busy day in store for today.

He was at Holt Renfrew this afternoon for an interview with Varietybefore his paparazzi-plotted film premieres tonight (Elgin/Winter Garden Theatre, 9 p.m.), followed by a post-premiere cocktail at Soho House Toronto.

But that’s not the only Jake news. Naomi Wattshas recently been signed to co-star alongside the heartthrob actor in Jean Marc Vallée’s (Dallas Buyer’s Club) newest, Demolition.The film is scheduled to begin shooting on September 15, so the rush of TIFF won’t last for too long.

Naomi is also in town for TIFF! The 45-year-old actress plays a Russian sex worker in St. Vincent,a film starring Bill Murray (and it's 'Bill Murray Day,' of course). The film premieres at 9 p.m. tonight (Sept. 5) at the Princess of Wales theatre.

Jean Marc’s film Wild, starring Reese Witherspoon, premieres at TIFF on Monday (Sept. 8).
